The anticipation that’s created when pulling the first print is one of the things I enjoy most. Despite having the composition planned and an understanding of how materials will respond, I still hold my breath when lifting my print form the plate.

This anticipation, it’s quite addictive and is notably present within the series of collagraphs currently in progress.  It’s certainly an exercise in balance; maintaining a recession of space while forging transparent passages into the composition.
